UPDATE: 03-26-2020: As posted previously, we are still trying to adopt dogs out by making appointments with individuals who have a serious interest in taking one of our rescues home. We have reduced our fee for adoptions, and are including a free bag of dog food (50# of kibble) with each adoption. If you are serious about adopting, and have what is needed to have a dog (that is, a fenced yard, shelter, etc.), we’d love to hear from you!
With that said, PLEASE respect our decision to close and shelter in place. This means that access to the ranch is residents and key volunteers ONLY. We appreciate your cooperation, and hope to be able to resume normal activity and socialization as soon as it is safe.
POSTED 03/18/2020: Hi everybody. I’m sure you’ve all heard the news by now. All non-essential businesses are to shut down for 30 days. West Star Ranch is considered non-essential (we disagree of course) however we must abide by the Governor’s directive.
